After a dozen or so visits during the middle of summer while training for or running in Badwater, it was really quite an experience to see Death Valley after record rainfalls.

Flowers and water were in abundance. Unfortunately, so were tourists and Winnebagos. We were fortunate enough to score a camping spot (even those were in short supply, with fistfights apparently breaking out at times!). We tooled around to some different spots that were a little off the course, including the Devil's Golf Course and then up Mud Canyon and into Beatty..
